  1. The answer given here is ridiculously too long. I did it in about 10 seconds by recognising that the triangle PTE is 1/2 the area of the square, Therefore the area of the square is 2*(62 + 10) = 144. So the length of a side of OPEN in sqrt(144) = 12. I am 80 years old and so grew up learning Euclids theorems.
